We thank everyone who supported our work in 2023!  We are still collecting monetary donations to pass along to a local program in early January.  If you are interested in participating as a sponsor or Giving Tree coordinator in 2024, fill out a form and we will be in touch in the Fall!

What We Do

Various organizations throughout the area help us identify families who otherwise would not have a holiday celebration and help their children complete wish lists with three gifts: something each child wants, something s/he needs and something educational. Supporters “sponsor” a child by shopping for items specified on the wish lists and delivering wrapped and tagged gifts to one of several prearranged drop-off sites in early December.

What makes Holiday Hope unique is our approach to bestowing charity so that our beneficiaries retain their dignity and witness the true spirit of the holidays and the very best of humanity.

Our History

In 1991, two social workers answered letters to Santa Claus (found in the New York City post office) from the children of four needy families, making their Christmas wishes come true. Since then, Christmas is for Children has supported tens of thousands of children in need.  Over the years, our organization has evolved to support children of all faiths, and updated our name to Holiday Hope.

Who We Are

Holiday Hope is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing children with the love, care and joy that comprises the spirit of the holidays. We partner with many organizations and individuals who contribute gifts, food, funds or time, to spread love and kindness to children in need.
